Beth Herd's story is one of transformation, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of making a difference. After over 30 years in education, Beth transitioned from being a special education teacher in Georgia to a principal in Alabama.
Her journey didn't stop there; she found a new calling with ValuTeachers.
"Helping people. Making a difference in people's lives." This has always been Beth's driving force. As a teacher, assistant principal, and principal, she dedicated her life to the betterment of her students and staff. But even after retirement, her mission to help others didn't wane. Instead, it found a new avenue.
Beth's transition to ValuTeachers was seamless. "When I retired, I retired to keep my grandbaby," she shares. The flexibility of her new role allowed her to balance her personal life with her professional aspirations. She could set her own schedule, make appointments with principals, and still have time for her granddaughter.
This flexibility is a cornerstone of ValuTeachers, making it an ideal fit for educators who want to continue making a difference without sacrificing their personal lives.
"It's not about any salary anymore because I do draw my teacher retirement and I'm so thankful for that," Beth explains. Her passion for helping others is evident in her day-to-day interactions. She uses her own story to inspire and guide others, making a tremendous difference in their lives with just a few minutes of her time.
Starting out, Beth found the support and mentorship she needed to succeed. "Everybody's so encouraging and so helpful and so inspiring." The hands-on leadership and guidance from her mentor, Tammy Culbertson, made her transition smooth and rewarding.
"It's more than I could have ever dreamed of," Beth concludes.
